Purple Cake Day

Topic: Purple Cake Day
Audience: PES, whanau, worldwide blog audience
Purpose: To explain what Purple Cake Day is for and what we did to celebrate it.
Task: You are going to explain to your audience what Purple Cake Day is, how it started and what it is for. The tell your audience how we celebrated it in Class 13.

After the earthquake in 2010,

Purple Cake Day was started by Emily Senson-Rejouis to raise money for kids education in Haiti.
Emily's husband and two of his daughters died when they were trapped under there apartment.
Every year , people raise money and learn about kids in other countries Purple Cake Day, and famous people paint their thumbs to give a thumbs up for Purple Cake Day.
