Introduction

Do you know what a good friend is? Well you have come to the

right place. You have probably had a lot of good friends

already but let me give you some tips that will help you become a good friend.

A good friend is someone you can trust and rely on.

A trustworthy friend is someone you can open up to. Trustworthy friends
are the best to rely on. By saying this I mean that you can tell a

trustworthy friend a lot of personal things you have never told

anyone before, and they will keep it a secret.

A good friend is someone that can entertain you and make you laugh.
Entertaining & Humorous friends are the best to call when you need to

have a little laugh. For example sometimes people can feel sad

 but you always seem to have a good friend that will make you

laugh and sometimes put on a show for when you are bored.

Furthermore, A good friend is someone who will Comfort you & Care for you.
Comforting & Caring friends are good to have around when you feel sick. For
example when you feel like you are having a bad day you have friends that
will care for you and make you feel better.

  Conclusion                                                   

So there you have it, a couple of ideas showing you how to be a good friend.
You could also use these ideas every time you make a new friend.

I would say everyone has a good friend. If you think about it we have teachers
as well. They are always there for us when we need help.

We got the opportunity to mark our own work based on Statements, Explanations and also Examples. As you can see I got to highlight my writing test. The reason behind that is because we wanted to see what it would be like to mark our own work based on our opinions.

Last term our Extension decided to do a Paideia Seminar. You must be wondering what this might be,  well basically we had to have a debate over our research. One question was, What might happen in the Future?  It was similar to having a political argument, not that I have been in one. Furthermore this presentation is what our research was about. Assembly Time!

Feeling the cold breeze

As it feels like 100 degrees

Playing with my friends

As we walk to class

Looking around I see the bright green grass

Walking to the hall

As we stand up nice and tall

Singing the national anthem

As I see kids throwing a tantrum

We continue singing

When I hear the bell ringing

More time to teach:

Our classes in NZ are struggling to cope with their teachers,
doing a lot of jobs for the school rather than teaching their students.  
From my perspective I think that teachers should spend more time to
teach their students than to write reports all day about our attitude and the
way we learn. The main focus is to actually have a full session to teach us.

Resourcing for Additional needs:

Classes in NZ are struggling to handle their rare student’s.

By rare I mean that one teacher in each class have a group

of students that have a hard time focusing on their learning,

while other student’s find it way easier.  I think that schools

need more teacher’s to help our students catch up with the

rest of the class.

Better Pay:

From my perspective I think that the money that teachers are

getting paid right now is not enough, because some teachers

have been teaching for more than ten years and their still

getting paid the same amount of money as new teachers.  

Teachers work everyday just to pay the bills and to teach

our students, but there’s other jobs like being a lawyer, you

only work for a few days but you still get paid more than teachers.

How to have a fun holiday!

Have you ever thought about how you can turn your holiday into something amazing. Well if you’re interested continue reading this for more ideas.

When it’s time for the holiday’s my Mum & Dad already have a list of chores that we have to do. So waking up in the morning is hard because once my siblings wake up that’s when they run to the lounge and play on the PS4, but when I wake up it’s a different story. When I wake up that’s my Que to clean up the lounge also my room and different areas of the house. While i’m cleaning I feel desperate just to play at least once because I hate cleaning up then looking in the corner and there you see my brother’s playing on the Game Console. I feel like it’s better to do the chores first then to jump straight on to the game console.

Now that the chores are out of the way we can move to different activities you can play. One thing that me and my siblings love doing is playing touch in our backyard or we like going out to the beach with our family and we like playing family activities. There are plenty of other things you can do but these things are my personal favourite things. The reason behind that is because it creates time for you and your family and it’s a special thing cause that’s you and your family bonding.

As I said before me and my siblings love to play outdoors in our backyard, but before playing you need to make sure you don’t ruin your parent’s plants or even ruin their lawn mowing. One thing I learnt from destroying my parent’s gardening is that I had to face some consequences. One thing I learnt from experiencing those consequences is that you should never mess up your Dad’s lawn mowing and your Mum’s Gardening.

As you know once my siblings wake they run straight away to the lounge and start playing on the Game Console. One thing I found out about my siblings is that they sometimes are bossy with the Game Console. So when it’s my turn they take their time as always complaining about why I didn’t turn that way and they also complain about why I didn’t aim for the payer behind me. So what i’m trying to say is that you should always share the game with your family members or whoever it is you’re playing with.

Well there you go! 4 ideas of what you can in the holidays.

Make sure to do the chores before playing on the game console. That way you will have more time to play. Also make sure to have fun playing outdoors and to include your neighbours as well, and definitely make sure to share the game console with everyone. Hope you have a fun holiday!!

Education Speech

First of all I would like to say good morning to the class and also to the teachers. Today my speech is about why all education should be free. Education is very important in schools and it also plays a very important role in our lives. In some schools kids can't afford education so then different people pay for it.The more knowledge we get, we grow and learn more in our future life. Education doesn’t only mean being good and getting certificates it means more like the people that can’t afford education there probably just self taught and won’t have any friends or even a teacher to guide them through what they're learning. That’s why we need free education for people who need it most. So my question for you is Do you think that we need free education in our schools.

How you can save water.

Save The Water!!

We need to save the water and we don't have much time because there are a lot of people littering and chucking their food scraps into the ocean.

We don't have much time before the oceans and seas are polluted.

To save some water you need to fix any broken tap in the house because broken taps can waste a lot of water everyday unless you fix it!

This year the Olympics are being held in Rio De Janeiro. People are so happy for the olympics to be in there country. We need the olympics because it provides more people to do sports and to keep them healthy also what’s special about the olympics is that it brings all the people together to celebrate for their country. So many friends come together and celebrate and some even cry and get emotional and jump up and down. Athletes train every day to get prepared for the olympics.

When Justin Gatlin trains he uses hypo speed cameras to catch videos of justin gatlin's speed and if there is something wrong with it then they would do something to fix it up and make it better. We need the olympics because it provides more people to do sports and to keep them healthy. What’s special about the olympics is that it brings all the people together to celebrate for their country.

Swimmer’s have been working with Under Armor to make the best swim suits. Their swim suits that they make are flexible and stretchy. Their swim suits are also tight and makes them swim faster than they have before. When the athletes finished their sports they were very emotional some athletes were crying some athletes were so happy. If you were an athlete and you won a medal what would you feel like?

P1: Introduction: Who, what, where, when? Stage set up/decorations?

On monday the 12th of October. We had a Immersion Assembly and the whole school was in the hall. The theme for this term is Survivors also Outwit Outsmart and Outlast.

The theme for term 4 was cool because I liked the name because it sounded interesting

P2:  Describe the performances, choreography

& costume accessories you saw on stage?

On the stage there was Dancing and karaoke and some people were singing Happy By Pharrell Williams also Roar by Katy Perry it was awesome fun and exciting. I liked how they were singing because there was a prize and a winner and the was Marika and the prize was going on a trip to the zoo  with the year 1 class and she was lucky to get the prize.

P3: Describe one visual/movie highlight?  What were they about? Actors?

At the Immersion Assembly Mr Jacobsen introduced his movie that we watched and it was called The Blindfolded Ninja. also there was a lot of other movies presented by a lot of other teachers. My favourite movie was team 4 which was our movie it was so funny/

P4:Describe how you felt overall about the immersion assembly and one new thing you have learned?

After assembly we came back to our classes and I was learning about adaptation in my class and how to adapt. It was fun learning how to adapt because we got to get little kit kat bars if we get a question right and I got 2 kit kat bars for answering 2 questions about adaptation.

hug barney I wanted to hug barney but they never picked me but I was still excited to see barney down stage.But it wasn't the real barney it was one of the teachers in our school.

    Today we had to write something about the Nesian Fusion.

Ana Nesian Fushion Review

P1:Introduction:Who,When,Where,Why.

On the 18th of September the Nesian Fusion group performed  at our school.It was very cool watching them perform.It was FANTASTIC because they were spinning the Aolou very fast and they  even spun it around there back and when they were lying on the stage.

P2:Describe choreography & Music

The song that they were playing was King & Queen By Beau Monga and

Hey Now By Nyssa Collins that was one of my FAVOURITE songs.The girls that were performing wore  black tites and they had their busines logo on their T-Shirts and I really liked the patterns on the T-Shirts.

P3: Skills demonstrated? Theme or message?

The message for the performance was NO TO FEAR because when they dropped the Ailou they weren’t shy to pick it up because they told fear to talk to the hand because they're not scared of fear so they just carried on.

P4: Conclusion, what did you like about performance?

What I liked about the performance was that it was very cool and it gave me a big experience to probably join next year so I could be good at spinning the Ailou. I liked the way that they weren’t scared of dropping it and picking it back up because they were strong.
